About Emmy Hendrickx

Emmy Hendrickx is a wilderness adventurer whose love of nature and the outdoors is matched only by her 30 years of camping, canoeing, hiking and backpacking experience in Ontario. Her credentials include:

- 20 years’ experience organizing and leading outdoor adventures for Girl Guides of Canada, both in Canada and internationally
- Ontario Recreational Canoeing Association (ORCA) certification
- Flatwater Canoeing Level A,B,C,D
- Moving Water Canoeing Level 1A
- Canoe Tripping Level 1, 2
- Full training in wilderness first aid, Red Cross first aid and CPR
- Outward Bound Personal Life Management course in team building, leadership and wilderness trekking
- Experience in leading large groups (up to 30 participants; both adult and youth)
- Trainer and leader of seminars in backpacking, camping and winter camping

Emmy is assisted by Elora Vink, a lifeguard who is certified by the National Lifeguard Service. Elora is also trained in first aid and CPR and has her Ontario Recreational Canoeing Association (ORCA) certification.
